Here's a short script I wrote with the intention of making it for this competition. It was going to be the second advertisement, but instead I thought I'd use it as a quick example of how to format…Continue

2011 KEYWORD/THEME:
Hi filmmakers!
Reel It In! 2011 is well and truly underway, and we're also excited to announce a NEW CATEGORY.
It's called, CELL IT! 2011 and allows students to make a 4 minute film about anything they like (using the keyword, GREED, of course) using their mobile phones, ipod, iphones, flip cameras etc.
You don't need expensive equipment to enter Reel It In! 2011, just grab your mobile phone, or ipod and go for it!
Don't forget the traditional Reel It In! 2011 category is still happening. Why not go in BOTH?
Just make a short film, no longer than 6 minutes, with the keyword GREED, included. Your story could revolve around a 'greed' theme, or simply - but cleverly - inserted in your film somewhere.
Again, all schools in every dioceses is invited to enter. You can download the entry forms from this site, or speak to your teachers. You sign up and receive regular updates and news. Or simply email me.
Don't forget to visit my youtube page, as well as my film blog site, The Reel Thing.
Imagine it, write it, film it!
Best of luck!

Here's a great - and simple - How-To video on using green screen, cheap lights and Adobe Premiere Pro. You don't need expensive equipment or software. My first green screen was a $40 sheet from Spotlight.
This video shows how to use the Chroma Key effect in Premiere Pro, however, I also find using Color Key just as effective.
And here's one on Color Keying, which basically does the same as Chroma Key, except it offers a few different ways to blend and soften the image's edges.
